 No One Knows What the Fuck They’re Doing (or “The 3 Types of Knowledge”) Apparently the scientists at the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) have published their first results in the December edition of the Journal of High Energy Physics JHEP12(2009) If you can find which paper/s, please let me know in the comments. It’s fun simply reading the titles of the papers, some examples of how far from our everyday reading material these get and how even David Foster Wallace would’ve been proud of some of them… “Radiation problem in transplanckian scattering” “Flux backgrounds from Twists” “A conformal field theory for eternal inflation?” “Fuzzy Killing spinors and supersymmetric D4 action on the fuzzy 2-sphere from the ABJM model” and the poetic “Dark matter sees the light”.
